2021 is shaping up to be a promising year for fans of writer Lauren Groff.

Her next novel, Matrix, will come out this fall — and right now, she has a new short story that you can enjoy.

The author has previously won the Story Prize for a short-story collection, Florida; it and her previous novel, Fates and Furies, were also nominated for a number of honors, including the National Book Award.
