Can’t wait to get your hands on Kazuo Ishiguro’s latest work?

Good news: he has released a few different excerpts of Klara and the Sun to tide you over until March 2.

The novel — which tells the story of Klara, an artificial being who wants to find a human owner — is Ishiguro’s first since winning the Nobel Prize in 2017.

Read both NPR’s excerpt of Klara and the Sun and the Guardian’s excerpt of Klara and the Sun.
