After seven years in translation, Polish novelist Olga Tokarczuk’s greatest work will appear in English.

The Books of Jacob, described by the committee that awarded her the Nobel Prize as her “magnum opus,” will come out in English in the UK in November and the US in February 2022, reports the Guardian.

The thousand-plus-page novel came out in 2014 and fictionalizes the life of Jacob Frank, an 18th-century Polish-Jewish religious leader and mystic.

It earned Tokarczuk several prestigious literary prizes — but also death threats.
