The finalists for the 2021 Joyce Carol Oates Prize were revealed yesterday.
The $50,000 prize, sponsored by the Simpson Literary Project, honors a distinguished midcareer author of fiction every other year.
Here are the contenders for the prize, to be announced sometime in April.
