In advance of the televised event, the NAACP has released the names of a few 2021 Image Award winners.
The honor goes to people of color in various creative fields — we’ll be sharing the literary ones, of course — and also to those who promote social justice through their creative efforts.
Here are the writers who received an award this year; the full event will take place Saturday night.
