Sharing your love for an author or book is one of the great perks of being a bookworm.

And if that author is J.R.R. Tolkien (or those books are the Lord of the Rings trilogy), we have great news: Marquette University really wants to hear from you.

The Department of Special Collections at Marquette’s Raynor Memorial Library is documenting Tolkien fandom and is seeking 6,000 testimonials from its members.

Why 6,000? That’s one for each of the Riders of Rohan that Théoden mustered and led to the aid of Gondor, though we probably didn’t have to tell you that.

To see the three interview questions and sign up to contribute, head to the J.R.R. Tolkien Fandom Oral History Collection page
