You may know author James Patterson as a fixture on bestseller lists or as one of the most prolific writers of the current era.

Those are, of course, true statements.

But in a recent interview with the Guardian, the author who can count a former president among his collaborators showed a clear amount of pride in some other accomplishments and goals, instead.
