Congrats to the 2021 Lambda Literary Award winners!

The 2021 Lambda Literary Awards, honoring the best lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans stories, were announced Tuesday night.

According to Lambda Literary, sixty literary professionals examined more than 1,000 book submissions from over 300 publishers to decide up on the winners of the award in its 33rd year.

• Lesbian fiction: Fiebre Tropical, by Juli Delgado Lopera

• Gay fiction: Neotenica, by Joon Oluchi Lee

• Bisexual fiction: You Exist Too Much, by Zaina Arafatt

• Bisexual nonfiction: Wow, No Thank You.: Essays, by Samantha Irby

• Transgender fiction: The Thirty Names of Night, by Zeyn Joukhadar

• LGBTQ nonfiction: The Lonely Letters, by Ashon T. Crawley

• Transgender nonfiction: The Black Trans Prayer Book, by J Mase III & Dane Figueroa Edidi
