Richard Wright’s newly published novel has been picked up for a movie adaptation.
Publishers Weekly reports that Paramount has optioned The Man Who Lived Underground in a seven-figure deal and that Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is attached to the project.
Wright’s daughter found the novel, which was rejected during the author’s lifetime, back in 2010; it was just published this spring.
