Celebrity book clubs have released their picks for July 2021.

Reese Witherspoon selected The Paper Palace, by Miranda Cowley Heller.

The novel spends a day in the life of Elle, a happily married mother of three who has just had sex with her oldest friend and childhood love and who must now decide what that means for her marriage.

Jenna Bush Hager picked Hell of a Book, by Jason Mott.

The novel follows three characters: a Black author on a cross-country publicity tour in present-day America; a possibly imaginary child who appears to the writer during the tour; and a (real) young Black boy living in a rural town in the not-so-distant past.

The book "is original, heartbreaking, poignant and in moments, hilarious," Hager said in announcing her Read With Jenna book club pick

Good Morning America chose The Personal Librarian, by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray.

The book is the true story of Belle da Costa Greene, a Black woman who passed as white during her time as J.P. Morgan’s personal librarian.

You can read an excerpt of The Personal Librarian in GMA's announcement of its choice.
