Another writer may be seeking a fairly prominent political office.

Nicholas Kristof, the two-time Pulitzer-winning columnist for The New York Times and an Oregon native, says he’s interested to hear what his home state’s residents think about him running for governor.

The Willamette Week reports that a poll about potential Democratic candidates for governor of Oregon included Kristof’s name and a question relating to how they’d feel about a candidate matching his description.

Kristof’s most recent book, Tightrope, examines the failure of the American dream, including the examples of some of his childhood friends.
