2021 has been author Maggie Shipstead’s year.

First, her novel Great Circle was chosen for Jenna Bush Hager’s book club.

Then, it was revealed to be on the Booker Prize longlist.

And now, though this was surely in the works long ago, it’s been optioned for a television series.

Deadline reports that Shipstead will serve as executive producer for the series; there’s no word yet on which outlet will air it.
