A police officer involved in Breonna Taylor’s death has pulled out of a book deal.

Jonathan Mattingly, one of the Kentucky officers involved in the fatal shooting, had previously signed with Post Hill Press.

But Simon & Schuster, which handles distribution for Post Hill, said earlier this year that it would not distribute The Fight for Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy.

Now, reports the Guardian, Mattingly is expressing gratitude that Post Hill wanted to publish his book but is exploring other options because of the distribution limitations.

The post in which he made this announcement didn’t include information on a new publisher.
