There’s a podcast out about Bennington College, but Literary Hub warns that it might not be around much longer.
Once Upon A Time…at Bennington College is based on Lili Anolik’s 2019 piece in Esquire about the school and the literary stars who went there.
Among them: Bret Easton Ellis, Jonathan Lethem, and Donna Tartt.
The latter declined to participate in the podcast, and both her lawyer and her publisher have sent letters to the podcast producers warning them about using “false, misleading, or otherwise inaccurate statements” about Tartt or using her works without permission.
Tartt shot onto the literary scene with her bestselling debut novel The Secret History and won a Pulitzer Prize for The Goldfinch.
