A book checked out from the Boise Public Library over a hundred years ago has made its way back.

Idaho news station KIVI-TV reports that the copy of The New Chronicles of Rebecca turned up in a different library’s dropbox, but a sticker on its spine easily led it to its rightful home.

The checkout slip last shows June 1910, meaning that if the library hadn’t abolished late fines in 2019, the fee would’ve been $803.

Library assistant Anne Marie Martin told the TV station, however, that records with the name of the borrower no longer exist.

Whoever it was — and whoever inherited it subsequently — treated it well, though; Martin described its condition as great.
