As long as we’ve had classic literature, we’ve had modern readers grousing about how they should be retired.

A new podcast focuses on one particular piece of classic literature and the question of whether it should be retired — but in a nuanced and thoughtful way.

Vanessa Zoltan and Lauren Sandler, the hosts of On Eyre, recently appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered to discuss whether the Charlotte Brontë classic Jane Eyre still holds relevance for modern readers.
