Literary Hub has news of two book adaptations — one in progress, one being planned — to share.
The former is Ottessa Moshfegh’s first novel, Eileen, for which casting news has leaked.
The mayor of Metuchen, New Jersey — where Eileen has been filming — posted on Twitter that Anne Hathaway is in the movie.
Lit Hub presumes, given the other names and the character descriptions, that Hathaway is playing the title character's mysterious and beautiful co-worker.
And the book whose adaptation is in progress is Roald Dahl’s short-story collection The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.
Wes Anderson is directing and writing, while the cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character, plus Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, and Ben Kingsley.
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar contains seven stories, some of them based on Dahl's World War II experience.
