Tom Hanks will star in a new adaptation of "A Man Called Ove"

A Man Called Ove is returning to the screen with some acting heavyweights behind it.

Deadline reports that the English-language adaptation of Fredrik Backman's hit novel will star Tom Hanks.

Hanks is also serving as one of the producers, along with his wife, actress Rita Wilson.

Production is set to begin this year, but Deadline doesn't have more information on when and where.

A Man Called Ove, which has sold more than 7 million copies since its 2014 release, follows a curmudgeon's unexpected journey to a friendship with his chatty, much-younger neighbors.
