Well, we're several months late on this news, but it's the kind of article worth still sharing.
Forbes released its list of highest-paid deceased celebrities for 2021, and two beloved children's authors are sitting in the top five.
Roald Dahl, in fact, rules supreme, with a whopping $513 million earned in 2021.
For comparison, the next-highest earner — the musician Prince — brought in $120 million.
After that comes singer Michael Jackson, then another storyteller — cartoonist Charles Schulz, with $40 million — and, finally, Dr. Seuss, with $35 million.
Forbes notes that deals with streaming service Netflix helped both Dahl and Seuss claim these lofty seats.
