Mary Badham is back in To Kill A Mockingbird.

This time, though, she's not playing Scout on screen — she's playing Mrs. Dubose on stage.

The New York Times chatted with Badham, who earned an Oscar nomination back in 1962, about how she wound up being offered the role in a new touring production of Aaron Sorkin's To Kill A Mockingbird adaptation and why she at first wrestled with whether to accept it.

The production will begin performances March 27 in Buffalo, New York; will open in Boston on April 5; then continue around the United States.
