Happy 100th birthday to Jack Kerouac!

The On the Road author, who also wrote poetry and other novels, like The Dharma Bums, helped launch the Beat movement and has continued to influence other creatives in the decades since his work emerged.

To mark his centenary, Literary Hub has shared some rarely seen items from his publisher's archives — in particular, letters from editorial staff relating to Kerouac's work.
