Each new year brings a fresh crop of books (and other creative material) newly out of copyright and into the public domain.
In 2021, the headline was The Great Gatsby; in 2022, Winnie-the-Pooh (A.A. Milne's version, of course, not anything Disney created from it).
At CrimeReads, though, the interest is in grittier stuff, and there are certainly some big-name authors and well-known books from the crime genre that are newly readily available.
Check out Olivia Rutigliano's ten classic crime stories now in the public domain.
