In case you haven't noticed, Bridgerton is back on Netflix.

Which, of course, in a 24/7 news cycle means plenty of tangential stories about the show and the books by Julia Quinn it's based on.

Slate's contribution to this trend: a piece on the evolution of the Bridgerton books' covers, from the pink cover bearing a calling card and flowers in 2000 to the current iteration, displaying the stars of the hit TV series.
