Happy release day to Emily St. John Mandel and Douglas Stuart, who both sent out hotly anticipated books into the world this morning.

Mandel's Sea of Tranquility is a time-travel story partially set in space; Stuart's Young Mungo, finished before he won the Booker Prize for Shuggie Bain, is the love story of a Protestant man and a Catholic one.
