Celebrity book clubs have released their picks for May 2022.

Reese Witherspoon selected The Dictionary of Lost Words, by Pip Williams.

The novel, inspired by actual historical events, tells the story of Esme, who makes it her life's goal to collect words and meanings that have been left out of the world's reference books.

Jenna Bush Hager picked Remarkably Bright Creatures, by Shelby Van Pelt.

This book follows an, um, unlikely friendship between a recent widow and the giant Pacific octopus who begins to solve the mystery of how the woman's son disappeared decades ago.

Good Morning America chose The Change, by Kirsten Miller.

This novel tells of three women who discover new powers as they reach middle age — and use those to try to solve a teen girl's murder.

You can read an excerpt of The Change in GMA's announcement of its choice.
