Children's picture books about sheep have landed five Hong Kong residents on trial.
The five unionists were arrested last July for publishing “seditious” material, and their five-day trial has now begun, reports the Guardian.
The sheep in these books are alleged to represent Hong Kong residents, while cartoon wolves are supposedly mainland China.
The unionists have pleaded not guilty to the charges, which carry a maximum penalty of two years in jail.
