The library in Vinton, Iowa, has reopened with limited hours after a series of staff resignations led to an indefinite closure.

The first of three directors to resign, Janette McMahon, has agreed to discuss her experience with multiple news sources.

And on the eve of the library's partial reopening, she appeared on NPR's Weekend Edition to share her experiences in Vinton, as well as her thoughts about the broader trends.
