Celebrity book clubs have released their picks for September 2022.

Reese Witherspoon selected On the Rooftop, by Margaret Wilkerson Sexton.

The novel is the story of Ruth, Esther, and Chloe — who have long performed as a singing trio — but who are about to exert their independence against the backdrop of gentrifying 1950s San Francisco.

Jenna Bush Hager picked Solito, by Javier Zamora

It's a memoir of how Zamora, now a poet, left El Salvador to reunite with his parents in the United States at the age of nine — by himself.

Good Morning America chose The Fortunes of Jaded Women, by Carolyn Huynh.

The novel follows the modern-day descendants of a woman cursed by a Vietnamese witch and how they must overcome not just their family's misfortune but their estrangement.

You can read or listen to an excerpt of The Fortunes of Jaded Women in GMA's announcement of its selection.
