Celebrity book clubs have released their picks for October 2022.

Reese Witherspoon selected Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng.

The novel tells the story of twelve-year-old Bird who has spent years disavowing his long-lost mother — a poet whose work was considered "unpatriotic" — only to receive a cryptic drawing that lures him into searching for her.

Jenna Bush Hager picked The Whalebone Theater by Joanna Quinn.

It's the story of Cristabel, a courageous orphan whose exploits begin with the appropriation of a dead whale — the rib cage of which becomes a theater — and continue on to secret-agent work during World War II.

Good Morning America chose Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan.

The book follows the tragic story of Asher, whose mother drags him back to her sleepy hometown after discovering his father's dark side, and Lily, who falls for Asher ... but doesn't make it out of high school alive.

You can read an excerpt of Mad Honey in GMA's announcement of its selection.
