California kids have struck gold: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is expanding to their state, reports Literary Hub.

The beloved singer-songwriter's charity sends free books to children up to age five — more than 190 million of them so far, since the program's creation in 1995 — to ensure that kids of all income levels have access to reading material.

California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill establishing Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Program and specifying how it will run on Thursday.

Lit Hub says more than 2 million kids in California are eligible for the program.
