Salman Rushdie's agent has released an update on the author's condition, two months after he was stabbed on stage.
Andrew Wylie told a Spanish newspaper that Rushdie has lost sight in one eye and the use of one hand because nerves in that arm were severed, and that he has about eighteen wounds over his body, according to the Guardian.
He wouldn't say whether Rushdie was still hospitalized, but emphasized that he would still live.
The Guardian has a few more philosophical thoughts on the attack from Wylie.
Rushdie spent years in hiding and has received death threats for decades because of his novel The Satanic Verses; a suspect in the August 12 attack has pleaded not guilty to second-degree attempted murder.
