Well, no wonder Judy Blume wrote about adolescence so compellingly.
Turns out, unsurprisingly, she lived it in all of its confusion, anticipation, anxiety, fear, envy ... etc.
That's evident in her contribution to the new anthology Our Red Book: Intimate Histories of Periods, Growing & Changing, which just came out yesterday.
