The most borrowed book in Brooklyn Public Library history

Happy 125th birthday to the Brooklyn Public Library!

To mark the occasion, the BPL has been gradually revealing the 125 most-borrowed books in its history.

And we finally have the entire list!

You can read all 125 most-borrowed books (plus birthday wishes from authors) on the BPL website, but here are the top five:

1. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

2. The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats

3. The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss

4. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

5. Are You My Mother? by PD Eastman
