The children of late actor, director, and philanthropist Paul Newman have an early Christmas gift for you: a poem written by their father.

One daughter found it stashed in a drawer and shared it with her sister, who, after several years, decided it was time to share with the world.

You can read the unpublished poem "Half Lung" in The Nation, chosen as a publication source because of Newman's love for (and investment in) the magazine.
