The Guardian has obtained a copy of Mike Pompeo's upcoming memoir, Never Give an Inch: Fighting for the America I Love.

And according to the paper, the former secretary of state delivers on his title's promise.

Among the revelations that the Guardian found interesting: former President Donald Trump suggested that Pompeo serve as both secretary of state and secretary of defense, simultaneously.

Also, Pompeo claims, Nikki Haley — then ambassador to the United Nations — plotted with Trump's daughter Ivanka and her husband to be named vice president.

And finally, Pompeo pulls no punches in his portrayal of one-time national security adviser John Bolton, declaring that he should "be in jail, for spilling classified information" (in reference to Bolton's tell-all memoir).

Never Give an Inch: Fighting for the America I Love officially releases January 24.
