Imagine becoming a celebrated author.
And now imagine that your second-grade buddy did the same thing.
That's not hard for writers Ilyon Woo and Imani Perry, actually.
The New York Times reports that Woo and Perry were playmates at the King Open School in Cambridge, Massachusetts; eventually split up when Perry changed schools; then reunited at Yale University.
Now, Perry is a National Book Award winner (for South to America) and a one-time interviewer of Woo, who's publicizing her second (and bestselling) novel, Master Slave Husband Wife.
Read about Perry's connection to Woo in the New York Times.
