Natural and man-made disasters have, of course, been threatening libraries and archives as long as they've existed.

But climate change has amplified and increased the frequency of many of these events.

The New York Times spoke with several experts about what they're doing — and what further challenges they face in that process — to protect libraries and archives from extreme weather events' threats.
