In other news from children's classics: How The Grinch Stole Christmas is getting a commissioned sequel.

For the sassy take on this news, head to Literary Hub; for a straight delivery, check out USA Today.

But the basic details are: Writer Alastair Heim and illustrator Aristides Ruiz have written an entirely new book, How the Grinch Lost Christmas!, to be released September 5.

The book tells of the Grinch's eager participation in a Christmas tree decorating contest — and, as the title alludes to, how his entry goes missing, to the detriment of his newfound Christmas spirit.

It uses the characters that Dr. Seuss created, of course, but no other material from him.
