One of the most talked-about jobs within the creative industry nowadays is that of sensitivity reader.

You might think of it as a newfangled job, but really, the new thing about it is the conversation and debate about it.

The Guardian spoke with several people in the publishing industry — including, yes, a sensitivity reader — about what the job actually entails as well as how they feel recent "revised editions" were handled.
