Jennifer Egan's "sibling" bestselling novels A Visit From the Goon Squad and The Candy House have been optioned for TV.
Deadline reports that A24 has snapped up the rights, with actress Olivia Wilde set to direct.
A Visit From the Goon Squad, which won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award in 2011, uses record company executive Bennie and his employee Sasha as the jumping-off point for a variety of other stories.
The Candy House revisits characters from Goon Squad; it imagines a world in which humans can download or "externalize" their memory and explores how it affects those who embrace the technology ... and those who reject it.
According to Deadline, Wilde has become one of the more in-demand directors, though this will be her first major TV directing gig.
