Author of book about grief is charged in husband's death

The author of a children's book on coping with grief has been charged with murder.

Whose death?

Well, the death that was said to have inspired her book.

The Associated Press reports that Kouri Richins, author of Are you with me?, found her husband unresponsive in March 2022.

Eric Richins was found to have five times the lethal dose of fentanyl in his system; his wife went on to write a book about the family's experience processing his death.

Two months after she appeared on TV to promote her book, she was arrested and charged with his murder.

Kouri Richins's attorney declined to comment on the charges.
