You probably saw this news out of Utah already, but if not: A parent frustrated by book banning efforts in schools has challenged, mostly successfully, the Bible.

The Associated Press reports that the complainant, whose identity the Davis School District has kept private, described the Bible as "one of the most sex-ridden books around" and took a dig at conservative group Utah Parents United.

The district's review committee disagreed that the book is pornographic or indecent, but did agree to remove it from elementary and middle schools.

Someone has filed an appeal of the decision, and someone has also requested that the Book of Mormon be pulled from shelves; their identities have been kept private, too.
