We have nothing but respect for all authors — bringing a book from idea to actuality is no small feat.

We do always find it interesting, though, to see what other fields authors excel in besides the literary ones.

If you're like us, then you'll probably find the following two author interviews to be right up your alley.

One comes from NPR, which interviewed Jeopardy! champion and host Ken Jennings about his new book on the afterlife, 100 Places to See After You Die.

And the other comes from Slate, which talked to romance novelist — and neuroscience professor — Ali Hazelwood about her "STEMinist" love stories.
