Deborah Levy’s new novel, August Blue, made the list of Literary Hub's best-reviewed books of the week.

So it seemed like we should highlight the excerpt of August Blue that Lit Hub also had made available last week.

The novel is the story of a piano virtuoso who quits her career, mid-performance, and sets off on a journey across Europe, with an eerily familiar woman following her all the way.

Levy is a novelist, poet, and playwright; among her well-received works is The Man Who Saw Everything, which was on the 2019 Booker Prize longlist.
