Among today's many literary birthdays is that of Alice Munro, widely acclaimed for her short stories.

Munro has won both the Man Booker International Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature for a lifetime of excellence in short-story writing, as seen in collections like The Love of a Good Woman; Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage; and Runaway.

The latter of these was reviewed by Jonathan Franzen back in 2004, and Literary Hub has pulled out his praise of the collection to celebrate Munro's 92nd birthday.
