The retelling of Greek mythology isn't exactly a new trend, but it is certainly a hot one right now.

That said, Lyndsie Manusos has noticed something funny about it: the lack of prominence given to actual Greek writers who have retold or reimagined their ancestors' stories.

Manusos doesn't raise the issue to argue over whether other writers have the right to use the stories — in fact, she specifically says she supports it — but rather as a way to highlight the work Greek writers have already done.
