No one is saying that this search reveals the "best" book from any given country.

But WordFinderX analyzed Goodreads data on books with at least five hundred ratings, to determine which book written by any country's local was the highest-rated.

For the United States, that honor went to Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson.

So as you can see, the most popular one wasn't necessarily the most recognizable one, though for some countries, that was the case.

For example: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides (Cyprus), Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi (Ghana), and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini (Afghanistan).

See all of the titles that WordFinderX determined were their country's best-rated at BookRiot.
