Bookish anniversaries: Dylan Thomas, Erica Jong 

This is, admittedly, a bit of a grab bag of posts, but here we go!

Literary Hub recently shared the short story "The True Story" by Dylan Thomas, which appears in The Collected Stories of Dylan Thomas.

We saved it for today, because it's the seventieth anniversary of the Welsh poet and writer's death.

Meanwhile, fifty years ago last month, Erica Jong released her debut novel, Fear of Flying.

The New York Times took a look at what led her to write the "sexually frank" bestseller, how it was first received, and what it has gradually become to mean both for readers and feminists.
