Belated congratulations are in order for the 2023 National Translation Award winners!

The prize honors two translators — one for poetry, the other for prose — "who have made an outstanding contribution to literature in English by masterfully recreating the artistic force of a book of consummate quality."

Robyn Creswell won for poetry for translating The Threshold by Iman Mersal from Arabic, and Nguyễn An Lý won for prose for translating Chinatown by Thuân from Vietnamese.

Each translator receives $4,000.
