Book Riot removes the reading pressure

Today’s posts from Book Riot are in the spirit of looking back on the year that was and forward to the year to come.

But they’re in a more relaxed way — which we can all appreciate this time of year.

For instance, staff shared their favorite reads of 2023 that weren’t published in that year, recognizing that there’s an infinite backlist of titles to be enjoyed years (or even decades) after their emergence.

And it wouldn’t be late December if people weren’t thinking about their aspirations for the year to come; what better way for a bookworm to capture that spirit than to select books — both nonfiction and fiction — to support those goals?
